Popular Pittsburgh TV Reporter Leaving Station

A Pittsburgh TV reporter is departing the station to become an elected official's spokesperson.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Melanie Gillespie Jones, WPXI-TV's Westmoreland County bureau chief, is leaving the station to become the spokesperson for Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicol Ziccarelli.

Jones, 34, will start her new job on Nov. 14, the Tribune-Review of Greensburg reported.

Jones will be paid $75,000 per year.
