PITTSBURGH, PA - The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for the popular Smallman Galley, a restaurant incubator on 21st Street in the Strip District with four rotating eateries.

Inspectors found a live mouse on a trap in the basement and extensive droppings in the basement dry storage area and upstairs kitchen. A product was found chewed with rodent droppings present on the packaging and a large number of droppings were found on canned goods.

Inspectors also found a hand-washing sink between two of the four restaurants - Saltry and Home - was blocked and inaccessible. Additionally, no soap or paper towels were available.
