Potential Winter Storm For Pittsburgh: Latest Forecasts

PITTSBURGH, PA — A developing winter storm could impact Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania over the weekend, but various forecasters are not yet agreeing on potential snowfall accumulations.
State College-based AccuWeather is predicting 3 to 6 inches of snow will fall in the Pittsburgh area, with accumulations to 6 to 12 inches east and south of the city.
The Weather Channel says that it is "watching a potential winter storm" for the Pittsburgh area. Snow is expected to arrive Saturday afternoon and continue overnight. The Weather Channel is forecasting accumulations of less than one inch on Saturday and less than one inch Saturday night, with snow showers continuing into Sunday.

The National Weather Service has not issued a specific total for the region, but said on social media Wednesday that the probability for significant snow is decreasing.
