PITTSBURGH, PA — Primanti Bros. has abruptly closed its two Michigan locations after less than a decade of operations there.

The Detroit Free Press reported that Primanti Bros. restaurants in Taylor and Novi have shuttered and now are absent from the company's website. The Pittsburgh-based restaurant chain still lists eateries in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, West Virginia and Florida.

A Facebook post from a former employee showed a sign indicating one of the restaurants had permanently closed.

The closures come barely a week after the Pittsburgh Business Times reported that Adam Golomb announced in a LinkedIn post that he had become the company's CEO. He previously was the chain's president and chief marketing officer.

The move also comes after Primanti Bros. recently announced plans to convert the former Don Pablo's in McIntyre Square in Ross into one of its restaurants.
