In the district attorney's race, incumbent Stephen Zappala is being challenged by county public defender Matt Dugan.

Mail-in ballots have been brought out of a locked cage at a county warehouse and distributed to county elections division staffers. The first phase of canvassing is a review of the declaration envelope to ensure it is signed and dated (this is the second review as a first one occurred when the ballot was received by elections).
