Inspectors found numerous live and dead roaches at the fast-food restaurant.

PITTSBURGH, PA - A roach infestation has prompted the Allegheny County Health Department to issue a consumer alert for the Subway restaurant at 703 Liberty Avenue, Downtown.

Inspectors on Friday found glue boards throughout the restaurant that had numerous live and dead cockroaches on them. The glue boards were located underneath and behind the drink fountain, underneath the radiators at the front of the store, in a cabinet underneath the hand sink, underneath dry storage shelves and the prep tale in the back of the restaurant’s dry storage area.

Live roaches also were found in the waste receptacle in the customer area of the store.
