Southwestern PA Reports No New Coronavirus Deaths

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — There were no new coronavirus deaths in Allegheny County Thursday,
the county health department announced Friday. The death toll in the county during the outbreak remains at 151.

The number of coronavirus cases climbed to 1,870, up from 1,851 on Thursday and 1,828 on Wednesday.

Three hundred and thirty-six people people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak, up from 331 on Thursday and 324 on Wednesday.

With 579 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 443 in Westmoreland County, 226 in Butler County and 139 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,257. That's up from 3,221 on Thursday and 3,198 on Wednesday.

According to the state Department of Health, 278 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and fifty-one in Allegheny County, 72 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 12 in Butler County and five in Washington County. That number remains unchanged from Wednesday.
