Steelers Add Former Chicago Bears Starting QB Justin Fields To Team
The Pittsburgh Steelers appear to have significantly upgraded the quarterback position in the past week. Get the details here.

PITTSBURGH, PA —The Steelers will have a dramatically different look at quarterback next season, especially after acquiring Justin Fields from the Chicago Bears on Saturday.
Fields is expected to be the second-string quarterback behind starter Russell Wilson, whom the Steelers acquired last week.
These moves occurred after the Steelers realized that drafting starting quarterback Kenny Pickett in the first round was a hideous mistake and traded him last week to the Philadelphia Eagles.

According to CBS Sports, the Steelers fleeced the Bears in the trade, calling the fact the Steelers got considerably more for Pickett than the Bears got for Fields mind-boggling.
Consider what Pittsburgh got in the Pickett trade: a 2024 third-round pick (No. 98 overall) and two 2025 seventh-round picks while giving the Eagles Pickett and a 2024 fourth-round pick (No. 120).

A first-round draft pick from the University of Pittsburgh in 2022, Pickett brought back more in return for the Steelers than the team had to give up to the Bears in Fields. The Steelers will receive a third-round pick (number 98 overall) and two 2025 seventh-round (number 120 overall). The Eagles also will receive a fourth-round pick.
Wilson, 35, threw for 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions last season for the Denver Broncos last season. Pickett had six touchdowns and four interceptions before being injured and then benched in favor of former third-string quarterback Mason Rudolph, who led the team to the
playoffs.
