In an NFL players union survey, Steelers owner Art Rooney II was harshly criticized. The survey noted numerous failings of the team overall.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Steelers owner Art Rooney II is not highly regarded by NFL players, according to a survey released this week by the union representing them.
In other areas besides ownership, the Steelers ranked 28 out of 32 teams in the survey conducted during the past football season. The National Football Players Association said 1,706 players across all teams, or 77 percent of its membership, participated in the survey.
Rooney received an "F" grade from players.

"There is little confidence among respondents in the willingness of club owner Art Rooney ll to invest in a better workplace, as he ranks second to last in this year’s report," the union stated in a post on its website.

- The Steelers are one of four teams that do not provide their players’ families with either a family room or daycare on game day.
- They are one of seven teams whose players feel their weight room is no better than where they could train offsite.
- The players feel like they lack the necessary staffing in the training room to receive the appropriate amount of individualized care.
