Sushi Restaurant Chain To Open New Pittsburgh Location
If you're a sushi fan, you undoubtedly will like the news of this restaurant chain's impending expansion in Pittsburgh.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A new eatery is slated to open in the new Meridian development currently under construction in the East End near Bakery Square.
According to the Meridian Website, Sushi chain Sushi Atarashi will open in a space that will include Taiwanese tea chain Wushiland Boba.
According to its website, Sushi Atarashi offers sushi, poké and bento boxes. Patrons can order off of the menu or customize their order.

Sushi Atarashi currently has two locations in Oakland - on Oakland Avenue and in the UPMC Presbyterian hospital cafeteria - one in Robinson and another on Washington Road near South Hills Village.
Shake Shack previously was announced as a tenant for the Meridian, which also will include a Giant Eagle Market District and a Barnes & Noble book store.

In addition to the retail component, the five-acre property at the corner of Shady and Penn Avenues also will house a 231-unit apartment complex.
The Meridian is expected to open in 2025.
