PITTSBURGH, PA — President Donald Trump will make another campaign appearance in southwestern Pennsylvania on Monday. The president apparently will hold the event in Beaver County, KDKA-TV reported.

The New York Times reported on Wednesday that Trump was considering holding an event in the Pittsburgh area.

Navy Cmdr. Dr. Sean Conley, the president's physician, said in a statement Thursday that Trump will be able to safely interact with people beginning this weekend.

"Saturday will be day 10 since Thursday's diagnosis and based on the trajectory of advanced diagnostics the team had been conducting, I fully anticipate the president's safe return to public engagement at that time," Conley said in a White House release.

But Conley and White House officials have not said when the president last had a negative COVID-19 test.

The president returned to the White House on Monday after spending three days at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He has not made any public appearances, but has made several videos produced at the White House.

USA Today reported that a White House aide stated that Trump's appearance would be an "event" and not his usual rally.
