Two Pittsburgh Coronavirus Cases Confirmed
They are the first confirmed coronavirus cases in Allegheny County.
PITTSBURGH, PA - Two Pittsburgh residents are Allegheny County's first confirmed coronavirus cases, county health department officials said Saturday at a news conference. The two live together.
The individuals are both adults, one in their 70s and one in their 60s. Neither person required hospitalization, and both are currently in isolation at home.
Twenty-six country residents have had test samples for COVID-19 examined by the state health department. It is unknown how many have had test samples sent to commercial labs.The first presumptive coronavirus case in western Pennsylvania was confirmed Friday by the state Department of Health. In releasing the latest statistics on the outbreak, the health department noted a confirmed case in Washington County.
