UPMC, Scientists To Discuss Potential Coronavirus Vaccine
The briefing will provide information on a possible vaccine for the killer illness.
PITTSBURGH, PA -University of Pittsburgh Medical Center officials and the University of Pittsburgh Schools of the Health Sciences scientists will hold a briefing Thursday to discuss a potential coronavirus vacccine.
According to a UPMC tweet Wednesday evening, the discussion will center around a vaccine for SARS-CoV-2. That respiratory illness, formally identified by the World Health Organization as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, is the virus responsible for causing the COVID-19 disease.
No other information was available about the briefing Thursday morning.
