Western PA Woman Sentenced For Role In Capitol Riot

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Western Pennsylvania woman has been sentenced to 27 months in prison for her role in the January 2021 U.S. Capitol breach and screamed death threats at then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Pauline Bauer, 55, of Kane, McKean County, also was sentenced Tuesday to 24 months of supervised release and was fined $2,000. She was convicted in January on charges of obstruction of an official proceeding, a felony; entering and remaining in a restricted building; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building; disorderly and disruptive conduct in any of the Capitol buildings the intent to impede, disrupt, and disturb the orderly conduct of a session of Congress or either House of Congress; and parading, demonstrating, and picketing in a Capitol building.

Bauer was near Pelosi’s office suite on Jan. 6, 2021, when she yelled at police officers to bring out the California Democrat so the mob of supporters of former President Donald Trump could hang her.

According to federal prosecutors, Bauer was seen on body cam footage screaming at police “They’re criminals. They need to hang. Bring Nancy Pelosi out here now. We want to hang (her). Bring her out.”

Prosecutors had recommended a prison sentence of six years and six months for Bauer.
