Winter Storm Approaching Pittsburgh: Latest Snow Estimates
Forecasters are tracking a potentially potent storm expected to hit the Pittsburgh area on Saturday.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Keep that snow shovel handy. A winter storm will impact Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania on Saturday, although forecasters still don't agree on how significant snow accumulations will be.
State College-based AccuWeather is calling for wet snow Saturday afternoon, accumulating 2 to 4 inches, with rapidly deteriorating road conditions leading to slow and slippery travel. The total snow fall through Sunday evening is expected to be 3 to 6 inches.
Other forecasters predict the storm will pack far less punch.
