• Homicide charges filed in Penn Hills shooting (newportdispatch.com) — Police are searching for a man from Plum who has been charged in connection with a deadly shooting outside a Penn Hills bar earlier this month. Investigators say witnesses and video led them to identify the suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach and to contact 9-1-1 or the county tip line.
   

• High school sports results for Thursday, August 27, 2026 (post-gazette.com subscription) — Plum High School's boys golf team posted a solid win over Penn Hills, and the football team is set to travel to Baldwin for a Friday night matchup.
