• Community comes together to host a fundraiser for fire chief in need of new kidney (wpxi.com) — Plum neighbors just rallied around longtime fire chief Carey Cole, raising more than $8,000 at a spaghetti luncheon to help as he undergoes dialysis and waits for a kidney transplant. The benefit, organized by Renton Volunteer Fire Department and Head Turners Pittsburgh, showcased how strongly the community is standing behind a leader who has served them for three decades.
