Career Night For Plymouth Whitemarsh Junior
Alton Custis kills it in Colonials weekend drubbing of Upper Moreland.

Alton Custis knows the opportunities don’t come very often, what with the option offense that runs. So the Colonials’ receiver knows when the chance comes, he better grab them hard and don’t go the rare times the Colonials do throw the ball.
Custis had a career game making five catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns in the Colonials’ 31-0 victory over Upper Moreland last Friday night. Custis has 10 receptions this season, and knows the Colonials’ attack is still predicated on running the ball.
But he would like a few more chances at catching the ball. “I would hope so,” Custis said. “We are a run-first offense, but we can pass the ball. Our passing game could open up more this season. I think the Upper Moreland game proved we can still throw the ball. We’ll still pound the ball, but we can throw. It’s a part of our game that can be used later this season. We’re more determined to make it to the district playoffs. We’re communicating better and we know what we’re doing. There is a confidence there that we can do some things.”
