Colonial Middle School Students Shine at TSA National Conference
Colonial students do well in Dallas, Texas.

A number of Colonial Middle School (CMS) students were recognized at the Technology Student Association (TSA) National Conference held from June 21-25 in Dallas, Texas.
The team of Kyle Campbell, Woody Fulmer, and Samantha Horry took home a second place trophy for "Tech Bowl Oral," a jeopardy style head to head elimination tournament testing the students' technology and TSA knowledge. The second place finish is the highest for any Colonial School District team or individual student.
2011 Plymouth Whitemarsh High School (PWHS) graduate Mark Forsberg placed third in "Extemporaneous Presentation" in 2009.

The CMS team of Kyle Campbell, Woody Fulmer, Pat Gaffney, Jake Gum, Samantha Horry, and Stephanie Wisniewski, with the help of programmers Nathan Hyer and Ian Dinda, placed sixth in "Electronic Gaming." In that event, the students designed, programmed, rendered graphics, play tested, and presented to a panel of judges. Their electronic game was a battle mission based simulator useable from PowerPoint. Individually, Fulmer placed ninth in Tech Bowl Written, an event testing the student's technology and TSA knowledge.
Students from both CMS and PWHS took part in the event. The PWHS students included Olivia Gum, Ariana Horn, Sabrina Koenig, Joe Narke, Christian Schaeffer, Joe Weir, and Anthony Williams. Anya Forsberg and Sophie Gross represented CMS.

More than 5,000 students from across the United States and Germany took part in the event. TSA in a non-profit organization that fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in technology, innovation, design and engineering for high school and middle school students.
