Conshy Brainstorms New Rec Leagues, Classes
Look to add more activities for Conshohocken residents.

The Fellowship House of Conshohocken could be adding more leagues and classes in upcoming seasons, according to a discussion at the borough's monthly Fellowship Committee meeting Wednesday night.
Council members told Darlene Hildebrand, Executive Director of the Fellowship House, that they had discussed the idea of adding more actives in a previous meeting.
"We had talked about adding more events, programs, activities," said Matt Ward, councilman for the 5th ward. "The conversation was about adding more programs to get more residents involved."
Hildebrand said that she was open to all ideas, adding that the Fellowship House had already recently added new programs, included a Tai Chi class for seniors and a daytime Zumba class.
In addition, she hoped to add a bocce class to run from November through February, and will be trying out a night Zumba class targeted to young adults in September.
Hildebrand also said that much of the fall and winter programming was dependent on the shifting Catholic School Leagues. While Conshohocken Catholic will be closing, many of the CYO teams will still be organized by parish, but a full schedule has yet to be released, she said.
If space became available, the Fellowship House may consider adding fall and winter basketball leagues, similar to those held in the summer, Hildebrand said.
Council members and Hildebrand both floated multiple ideas for new leagues, incuding a summer washers and beanbag league, co-ed and men's volleyball leagues, and ultimate frisbee leagues.
Extra bingo nights and adult aerobics classes were also proposed.
