Conshy Man among Vets Honored at Constitution Center

Navy Veteran Charles Gallagher of Conshohocken honored with a certificate of recognition for his service.

Conshohocken resident Charles Gallagher was one of many veterans honored last week at a Flag Day Celebration held at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. The ceremony recognized the 235th anniversary of the holiday and the 237th anniversary of the United States Army.

Gallagher, shown to the right, received a certificate for recognition of his service in the Navy. Handing him the certificate is Crossroads Hospice volunteer coordinator Kimberly Mumper.

"We recognize the sacrifices our veterans have made and believe we owe a debt of gratitude for the security they have provided by defending our nation,” said Gloria Allon, Executive Director of Crossroads Hospice, in a press release. “Whether we’re honoring a veteran patient at his bedside with his family, or recognizing 50 veterans at an assisted living facility in a group ceremony, we take the time to say ‘thank you’ and show our support for their tremendous service.”
