Conshy's NextDocs to Hire Hundreds in 2013

Add another company to the list of those doing exciting things down at the Conshohocken waterfront. NextDocs, a company that provides software and services to medical and pharmacology clients, has announced it is planning to triple in size just months after its move to the borough.

The company was recently highlighted in a Philadelphia Inquirer piece, which quoted CEO Zikria Syed as saying the company plans to grow from 80 to 250 employees by 2014, after it hauled in nearly $20 million in sales last year.

Syed also said that the exciting atmosphere of Conshohocken, along with the ease of accessibly from highways and the SEPTA train station, prompted the company's move from King of Prussia last spring.

"It's younger, it's more urban, we've got more energy and excitement here," the Inquirer quoted Syed as saying. "[Young, talented people] don't want to own a car. They want to walk to restaurants and happy hours. Some of them bike to work."

In a piece from the Philadelphia technology news site Technically Philly, NextDocs employees are seen shooting hoops in an arcade-style basketball game next to a row of cubicles, while others are enjoying a complimentary lunch, served three times a week.

NextDocs employs mainly engineers, programmers, and business professionals. It is located in the Six Tower Bridge building at 181 Washington Street.
