Estranged Husband Gets Life In Prison After Killing Wife In Montco

The man meticulously planned the killing, taking Ubers to and from her home and destroying her security camera footage, police said.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A man who broke into his ex-wife's Montgomery County home and killed her has been sentenced to life in prison, court documents show.

Kenneth Shea, 37, of Feasterville-Trevose, pleaded guilty to first degree murder after stabbing his 57-year-old wife Elizabeth Shea to death.

NBC 10 reports that Kenneth Shea did not want to put the family through a trial.

There is no possibility of parole.

The incident occurred back on April 10 on the 1000 block of Cromwell Lane in Wyndmoor. Investigators found that Kenneth Shea meticulously planned the killing and the ensuing cover up.

Kenneth Shea took an Uber from the Comfort Inn in Feasterville-Trevose at around 12:36 a.m., and was dropped off near his wife's home at 12:55 a.m., police said.

He pushed the air conditioning inside the home in order to break in, investigators said. He stabbed his wife multiple times, according to police.

While inside, he removed four hard drives from the home’s digital recording units, and dumped them in the bathroom sink and toilet, police said. He also dropped three cellphones in the toilet.

An Uber picked him up again at 3:37 a.m. and returned him to the hotel by 3:58 a.m.

Elizabeth Shea's body was found by police at about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday inside the master bedroom.

Bensalem SWAT officers tracked Kenneth down to Room 314 of the Comfort Inn and took him into custody as he left the room.
