Ex-Plymouth Twp. Councilman Announces Montco Commissioner Run

Former Plymouth Township Councilman, Republican Dean Eisenberger, has announced his candidacy for Montgomery County Commissioner in 2019.

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA -- Former Plymouth Township Councilman Dean Eisenberger has announced his candidacy for Montgomery County Commissioner in 2019.

Eisenberger, 54, served as a Republican on the council for eight years and is also a businessman and former police officer.

"The people of Montgomery County want leaders with a strong and proven record of protecting
taxpayers while addressing the needs of our communities," Eisenberger said in a statement announcing his run "My time as a public servant shows that is exactly what I will deliver as Commissioner."

The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners is currently served by two Democrats, Valerie Arkoosh (the chair) and Ken Lawrence Jr., and Republican Joe Gale.

In his campaign announcement, Eisenberger touted his record as a fiscal conservative who never raised property or income taxes.

Eisenberger retired as police lieutenant after 14 years of service. He currently owns a business that rehabilitates area homes, and he previously founded a technology company, L and E Mobile Computers and Mounts, Inc.

The 2019 primary election in Pennsylvania is May 21, and the general election is Nov. 5.
