March 19: The Road Ahead in Roadwork
A snapshot of planned roadside construction through Saturday.
Check the list below for details on how the area’s roadways will look this week, as provided by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. All schedules are subject to change.
For additional information, the commission will be hosting a construction update open house at the on April 12 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Worcester Township

- Crews on North Wales Road, Crestline Drive, Deep Meadow Drive, Oak Terrace, and Shady Lane will be excavating mainline from March 19 through March 24 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Whitpain Township
- Jolly Road, Meadow Drive, and Mermaid Lake will be the site of excavating for retaining walls Monday from March 19 through March 24 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Sheffield Drive, Larchwood Drive, and Old Arch Road will be impacted by excavating for retaining walls and installing sound barrier posts from March 19 through March 24 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Oak Ridge Drive, Rosewood Drive, and East Side Drive will be affected by excavating for retaining walls from March 19 through March 22 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Union Meeting Road and Jolly Road will be impacted by crews installing drainage from March 19 through March 23 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Jolly Road Mainline Bridge will be the site of construction efforts from March 19 through March 24 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Wentz Road Mainline Bridge will be the site of construction efforts from March 19 through March 24 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- SEPTA Bridge will be the site of construction efforts from March 19 through March 24 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mileposts A20-A26
- Township Line Road Mainline Bridge will be the site of construction efforts from March 19 through March 24 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Plymouth Township

- Walton Road, Apollo Road, and Township Line Road my be slowed by excavating for retaining walls, the mainline, detention basins and sediment traps from March 19 through March 24 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Walton Rd., Fountain Rd., Allandale Rd., Colton Dr., Loretta Ln., Timberfare Cr., and Jolly Rd. will be the site of excavating for mainline and installing sound barrier posts from March 19 through March 24 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Hickory Road Mainline Bridge will be the site of construction efforts from March 19 through March 24 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
