Montco 7-11 Robbed By Armed Gunman, Again: Cops

Just weeks after a man was shot during an armed robbery, another armed robber hit the same 7-11.

ABINGTON, PA -- For the second time in recent weeks, the 7-11 on Limekiln Pike in North Hills has been hit by an armed robber, the Abington Police Department said on Tuesday.

In April, an employee at the store was shot by an armed intruder when he tried to knock the gun out of the intruder's hands.

The most recent incident occurred at about 10:51 p.m. on Monday when a black male, about 5'9 tall, with a small mustache and long, black dreadlocks entered the store, police said.

An employee, a 53-year-old man, was cleaning the store's hot food section at the time.

The suspect pointed a black semi-automatic hand-gun at the employee and said "Open!", according to police.

Authorities said that the employee then opened the register and handed over an unknown amount of money to the suspect.

The suspect fled from the store on foot.

There were three other customers in the 7-11 at the time but none of them realized that the robbery was occurring and only one of them recalled seeing the subject at all, cops said.

There were no injuries and no shots were fired.
