Plymouth Township Mosquito Sprayings Start Early
Township homes to be proactive after mild winter.

Mosquito management programs will start early in Plymouth Township this year, prompted by a warm winter.
"Each year in June, the township has participated in a mosquito management program to reduce the number of breeding areas and mosquito related problems," said Council Chair Sheldon Simpson at Monday's monthly meeting.
Simpson stated that the program would start in May this year, and continue through September. Sprayings will occur during the second and third weeks of each month.
In addition, Simpson identified the following targeted areas:
- Saw Mill Run and its tributaries
- Diamond Run
- Portions of Valley Creek and its tributaries
- Drainage areas near Pleasant Road
- Drainage areas between Township Line and Butler Pike
- Upper tributaries of Plymouth Creek
- All Plymouth Township Parks and Recreation areas
