Simpson, Sudall Greet Voters in Plymouth
Both council candidates from Ward 2 are keeping their eyes on the polls heading to the afternoon.
With election day half over, both candidates for Plymouth council in Ward 2 are watching voters and hoping for a positive turnout.
"There's been a good turnout so far," incumbent Republican candidate Sheldon Simpons said while greeting voters at the Plymouth municipal building Tuesday morning. "On these off years, you hope to do 15 percent in turnout, but something is brining people out this year, be it county stuff or local races."
Simpson said he felt confident going into the afternoon.

"I've been seeing a lot of friendly faces here, but you never want to count your chickens before they’re hatched," he said. "We’ve tried to keep our campaign honest and I think my 25 year record says enough."
Democratic candidate Bridget Sudall said she was excited heading into the second half of the day.

"It's great to be out here and meeting voters," she said. "Yesterday was a hard day, but today it's been good. I'm excited and nervous, all of the above.
Sudall, who greeted voters at Plymouth Ambulance Tuesday morning, said she was pleased with the realtivly high voter turnout.
"It's a beautiful day out, and I know that the voters will come out and do the right thing."
