Traffic: Lanes Closed on I-76, Roadwork in Plymouth

A rundown of what could be impacting traffic for the week of January 23.

Motorists who use Interstate 76 to get to from the Plymouth-Whitemarsh area to Philadelphia should be on the look out for some shifting traffic patterns this week, according to a release from PennDOT.

Check the list below for details on how the area’s roadways will look this week.

I-76:

  • Eastbound I-76 will be reduced from two lanes to one from outside the Conshohocken Interchange through Lower Merion Township on Monday through Thursday (Jan. 23-26) from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the removal of rocks from the highway’s embankment, according to a release.

Plymouth:

  • Walton, Apollo and Township Line Roads will be under construction from Monday, Jan 23 through Saturday, Jan 28, between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Crews will be excavating for detention basins and sediment traps and placing embankments.
  • Township Line, Jolly, Allandale and Walton Roads, Timberfare Circle, Loretta Lane and Colton Drive will be under construction from Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Crews will be removing southbound privacy walls.
  • The Township Line Road bridge will be under construction from Monday through Friday, as well as Jan 4 through Jan 6 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
