Whitemarsh Summer Camps Open for Registration

It’s time to start thinking about the summer, according to the Whitemarsh Township Parks and Recreation department.

The township has begun accepting registrations for its 2012 summer camps.

According to a release from the department, the township will be offering three different camps aimed at different age groups. Cedar Grove Pre-School Camp, for 3 to 6 year olds, will have a full or half day option at Cedar Grove Park and Barn. Miles Park Summer Camp, for ages 6 to 11 years old, will be held at Miles Park five full days per week. Teen Extreme Summer Camp, for ages 12 to 15 year olds, will be held at Miles Park as well and this year will be five full days a week.

The township will also be offering before and after care for campers, according to a statement from the township. Known as the Gecko Club, pre-registration is required for this option. The Camp Hopper program will be available for those campers who wish to take part in a morning specialty camp and then spend the afternoon at a township camp.

All registrations are for a full week. Camps are open to residents and non-residents. Early registration ends on March 31.
