Whitpain Says No to Whitemarsh Horse Arena
Zoning Board ruled that its initial permit was given in error.

After a months long ordeal, Whitepain's zoning board has repealed a permit that would allow a Whitemarsh couple to build a horse arean in Whitpain.
Brad and Andrea Heffler of Whitemarsh were granted a building permit for the barn and arena as an accessory structure in a R-1 residential zone in August. During Whitpain's July planning commission meeting Mark Clemm, attorney for the Hefflers and planning commission vice chairman, presented the Heffler’s plans for 960 Morris Road. Plans for the barn and arena were not presented to the commission.
Patricia Lorenzo of Kurt Drive, Blue Bell, sought a cease and desist order for construction for the barn and arena, once she discovered it was being built approximately 100 feet from her back yard, .
