$1K Offered For Information On Alleged Pottstown Killers

POTTSTOWN, PA — Authorities in Pottstown and Montgomery County offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of two men wanted for a murder that occurred earlier this year.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele and Pottstown Borough Police Chief Michael Markovic said Derrick Goins, 26, and Elijah Davis, 18, both of Pottstown, are wanted for first-degree murder.

The pair are sought in connection with the March 30 murder of Keith Robinson, 41, who was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside his vehicle that night.

Authorities said a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of either Goins or Davis.

Any with information on Goins and/or Davis is asked to call 911, the Pottstown Police Department at (610) 970-6570, or Montgomery County Detectives at (610) 226-5553. They should be considered armed and dangerous.

Two others tied to the killing — Kyshan Brinkley 23, and Jacquan Lee, 26, both of Pottstown — have been taken into custody already.

All four are from Pottstown and are believed to be members of the "Bud Gang Bitch" (BGB) gang, named in honor of Jordan "Bud" Scott, a Pottstown teenager murdered in 2017.

The murder the gang is accused of committing occurred back on March 30, at around 10:53 p.m., near the intersection of Walnut and York streets in the borough.

Investigation determined that 10 shots had been fired. He was rushed to Pottstown Hospital, where he was declared dead shortly thereafter.

One of the members of "BGB" planned to buy Percocets from Robinson, according to the grand jury presentment. The presentment indicated that Robinson had told multiple people in the months leading up to his death that had concerns both about the gang and about that specific planned transaction. Robinson told a friend that BGB was responsible for the shooting death of Darryl "Omar" McMillan back in Nov. 2018.

In addition, Robinson apparently believed he himself was on a "list" of individuals that the gang planned to kill, according to the presentment.

An extensive review of video surveillance, as well as interviews and an examination of phone records, placed Goins and the other three suspects at the scene of Robinson's death. Surveillance shows Robinson's black minivan heading west on Walnut Street at around 10:45 p.m., police said.

It then swerves sharply to the left near N. York Street, near where it was ultimately found. Two minutes later, at 10:47 p.m., the minivan heads west on Walnut Street and turns onto N. York Street, just past the Foundry Apartment building.

At 10:53 p.m., an individual dressed in all black, believed to be Goins, comes out of the back of the apartment, fires the shots, and runs back the way he came, authorities said.

As detectives investigated the killing, they discovered an ongoing investigation into the other activities of BGB, including drug trafficking, illegally possessing firearms and coordinating straw purchases, and other acts of violence.

Investigators said that gang members have produced music videos and posted them on the Internet describing their drug deals. Lyrics like "I got grams of the white and the tan" — a reference to cocaine and heroin — helped police confirm the identities of suspected gang members. Other lyrics included, more blatantly, "Bud gang til I die."

In addition, scenes in music videos that showed exchanges of gym bags and knapsacks of drugs were filmed at known headquarters of the gang: residences on the first block of Beech Street and the 200 block of Manatawny Street.

Brinkley and Lee both face charges of first degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, possessing an instrument of crime, and related counts.

They were sent to Montgomery County Correctional Facility without bail, and a preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 26.
