Dance One Studios, located in Douglassville, will be presenting their annual Company Concert on March 10th, 2012 at 7:30 pm. The performance will be held at the Hill School Center for the Arts in Pottstown. Four pre-professional companies will be premiering their exciting choreography including styles of ballet, modern, hip hop and rhythm tap.
Dance One Contemporary Ballet Theatre, Dance One Contemporary Ballet Theatre II, DO Crew and DO Tap are of the four pre-professional companies housed at Dance One Studios. All the companies are comprised of talented and dedicated youth from the community. Throughout the company’s history, they have had the honor of performing on such national stages as the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C and Lincoln Center in New York City. Local community performances and events are also included in their yearly schedules. Most recently, all four companies were selected to perform at the Centennial celebration of the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington.
Dance One Studios has been in business for 13 years with a focus on sound dance education. Qualified teachers with degrees in dance and professional experience promote this mission. Participation in the companies is encouraged by Dance One Studios by offering minimal cost while providing a professional standard. All members in the company are extremely dedicated and committed and gain professional experience through their participation. Dance One Studios offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip hop and creative movement for ages 3 through adult. Members of Dance One companies train in these techniques extensively throughout the year in addition to regular company rehearsals and performances. Students gain the benefits dance brings including the physical balance and coordination, exploring self-expression and creativity, intellectual time management, concentration and focus, as well as social camaraderie and emotional confidence.
