"Hats on for Mare" afternoon "TEA" will feature a delightful luncheon--finger sandwiches, fruits, veggies, dainty desserts and of course tea at a cost of $15.00. This is a fundraising "Tea" in honor of a Boyertown Area School District senior, Mary Lapinski, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the base of her skull on her 17th birthday. Mary is now 18. She is a very brave gal and is fighting the cancer with much courage. Mary has a great love for nature and photography. It was her deep wish to combine both of her loves and publish a book called "Through Mary's Eyes . . . . Hope Through a Lens"
It is a very fine book, with Mary's favorite photographs and quotes. The book will be on sale at the "TEA" for $15.00. Proceeds from the tea and book sales will go toward her publishing costs and also to set up a scholarship fund for other Boyertown seniors affected by cancer.
So grab your girlfriends, your mothers and daughters and head on over to Good Shepherd United Church of Christ for the afternoon tea, March 31, 2012--1 to 4 pm. Use the N. Walnut Street parking lot entrance.

There will be door prizes, raffle baskets, and a hat contest--so be creative and wear a hat in honor of Mary. If Mary is feeling up to it, she will also be present for book signing.
