Where Flock Cameras Are Located Around The Pottstown Area (patch.com) — Residents in and around Pottstown can now see exactly where automated license plate cameras are watching, from High Street intersections to shopping centers along Pottstown Pike. A nonprofit's new map lists dozens of local Flock and similar cameras, while statewide leaders debate whether this fast‑growing surveillance technology should be banned in Pennsylvania.
   

2. Victory Fire Protection Joins TFP, Expands Pennsylvania Services (mychesco.com) — A Pottstown-based fire protection company, Victory Fire Protection, has been acquired by Total Fire Protection, creating the larger firm's first Pennsylvania operation while keeping local leadership in place. The board, based at 901 Ridge Road in the Pottstown-area district, will soon set an application deadline and choose someone to serve through 2027, while also naming interim leadership until December's reorganization meeting.
   

4. $3.6 million in state grants announced for region (pottsmerc.com subscription) — Pottstown Borough is set to receive $800,000 in state gaming funds, including money for a new fire engine and repairs to a key stormwater arch at Beech and Grant streets. Additional grants will upgrade nearby bridges, sewers, water lines, and emergency vehicles in surrounding townships, easing the burden on local taxpayers while improving safety and infrastructure.
   

5. Berks & Montgomery Compete in Old-time Shooting Matches (town.news) — Local history fans will enjoy this look back at 19th-century shooting matches that drew competitors from Pottstown, Sumneytown, Pottsgrove, and other nearby communities.
