Pottstown's Brick House Restaurant To Shut Down

A beloved Pottstown eatery is closing its doors.

POTTSTOWN, PA — A beloved Pottstown eatery is closing its doors. The Brick House, a staple for the last 10 years on E. High Street in Pottstown, announced on Tuesday that it was closing down.

"Over the course of this time we had the opportunity to meet and serve some of the greatest people you could ever know. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end," the eatery said in a message posted to their Facebook page on Tuesday.

The Brick House will not completely evaporate, however; owners said that the restaurant will merge with Blackjax American Pub in Birdsboro.

Owners added that in addition to the incorporation with Blackjax, which is in Berks County, they were working on using their present Montgomery County liquor license on another yet-to-be-announced venture locally.

Blackjax, meanwhile, is located on 668 Ben Franklin Highway E. in Birdsboro.
