Ardmore Home Targeted By Would-Be Burglar: Police

Police said the resident heard a knock at their door and then saw a man running away from the home. Luckily, the suspect didn't get inside.

ARDMORE, PA – Lower Merion Township Police said a home in the Ardmore section of the township was targeted by a would-be burglar recently, but luckily the attempted break in was unsuccessful.

At about 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17, a resident on the 100 block of Linwood Avenue in Ardmore heard a knock on their door, according to Lower Merion Police.

The resident saw a man walking away from the residence then found a trashcan overturned under a window, police said.

A pantry window was also found to be open, police said.
