One Injured After Backhoe Falls Off Trailer In Radnor

The backhoe fell off the trailer, hitting a car, after striking the Amtrak underpass on King of Prussia road Friday morning.

RADNOR, PA – A crash caused a stretch of King of Prussia Road in Radnor Township to close Friday morning. Radnor Police said one person was injured in the crash after a backhoe fell off a trailer.

Radnor Police said a pickup truck with a trailer hauling a backhoe was heading north on King of Prussia Road when the backhoe struck the Amtrak underpass.

The backhoe then tipped, striking another car that was heading south on King of Prussia Road, police said.

The driver suffered minor injury in the accident and refused treatment, police said.

Police said Amtrak crews were on scene to inspect the bridge.

Amtrak officials said the bridge has since been OKed for regular service.
