Ex Philly DA Seth Williams Moved To West Virginia Prison

Williams was moved from Philadelphia to Oklahoma last month. Now, he's back on the east coast serving his five-year sentence for fraud.

PHILADELPHIA – Disgraced Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams has been moved to another prison after recently being moved from Philadelphia to a prison in Oklahoma.

Williams is now in the Morgantown Federal Correctional Institute in West Virginia, according to CBS Philadelphia.

Williams began his sentence in Philadelphia, spending most of his time in solitary confinement. Then he was moved to a transfer facility in Oklahoma last month.

Williams was hit with a five-year sentence in court Tuesday, Oct. 24 after entering his guilty plea on June 29. Williams will also pay $100,000 in forfeiture and restitution

Williams' plea deal included his resignation.

Williams was charged with 29 counts, including 11 counts of travel and use of interstate facilities to promote and facilitate bribery contrary to Pennsylvania law (the "Travel Act counts"), two counts of Hobbs Act extortion under color of official right, two counts of honest services wire fraud, 12 counts of wire fraud and two counts of mail fraud.

All other counts were dropped, but Williams admitted to committing crimes alleged in all 29 counts.

Morgantown Federal Correctional Institute is a minimum security facility and about five hours from Philadelphia.
