Lisa Borowski Voted As Radnor Board Of Commissioners President
In a moment of bipartisanship, the Radnor Board of Commissioners voted unanimously for Borowksi and Luke Clark as its new leaders.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – The Radnor Board of Commissioners voted in bipartisan fashion to appoint its new president and vice president at the recent reorganization meeting. The vote comes after a few failed attempts to appoint an interim commissioner for Ward 7, all of which failed along party lines and subsequently required a vacancy board member to break the tie for a replacement for Phil Ahr.
At Tuesday's meeting, the board unanimously voted to appoint newly-elected Democrat Lisa Borowski as the board president.
Borowski, who represents Ward 4, was sworn into office just minutes before she was voted president.

Additionally, the board all voted for Ward 3 Commissioner Luke Clark, a Republican, to serve as the board's vice president.
"I look forward to working with you, Luke," Borowksi said. "This is a bipartisan leadership. It is what I believe to be an equal partnership here.

Clark echoed Boroskwi's words, saying he thinks they will work well together on issues they plan to tackle as the president and vice president.
"I think 2018 will be a very good year for the township," Clark said. And the board and township residents surely hope so.
2017 was tumultuous for the township leadership. Former commissioners William Spingler and Phil Ahr both were embroiled in legal issues.
Spingler was sentenced to probation after being found guilty of fondling a 103-year-old woman in 2016 and Ahr is facing child pornography charges, which forced him to vacate his Ward 7 seat and the board presidency.
Additionally, Commissioner Jim Higgins resigned his role on the board just weeks ago, citing family health issues as the cause.
The township is taking applications from interested Ward 1 residents who would like to fill Higgins seat on an interim basis.
Incumbent Ward 2 Commissioner Richard Booker, as well as newly-elected Ward 6 Commissioner Jake Abel were sworn in at the Tuesday meeting.
