Main Line Couple Delivers Baby In YMCA Parking Lot Thursday Morning
The family was "calm, cool, and collected" as they welcomed a baby girl into the world.

A Main Line couple welcomed their new baby girl into the world Thursday morning, but in a bit of an unconventional way.
Tim and Dana Lu, of Haverford were in the Haverford YMCA Thursday morning when Dana Lu went into labor.
"They were calm, cool, and collected," Haverford Township Police Deputy Chief Joe Hagan said of the couple.

Hagan said police and EMS crews arrived after Tim Lu delivered his new baby girl at about 7:40 a.m.
"When we got there," Hagan said, "the mom was holding the baby."

Hagan said Tim Lu handled delivering the couple's third child extremely well.
"The father did a really good job," Hagan said.
Hagan said after arriving, medics took the family to a nearby hospital.
"All credit goes to the family," Hagan said. "They did it all on their own."
This marks the second surprise birth in the area recently, as another couple had their new baby delivered in home by Narberth Ambulance and Haverford EMS personnel on March 9.
A job well done, Dana and Tim Lu! It takes iron will to keep your composure in that situation!
