New Main Line Health Center Coming To King Of Prussia

The new $32 million, 94,000 square-foot facility will focus on the various needs of women in the region, according to Main Line Health.

Main Line Health is expanding its presence in the greater Philadelphia region, as it announced Friday, Feb. 9 its plans to establish a new facility in King of Prussia.

The new facility will be focused on "the distinctive preventive, diagnostic and treatment needs of the female population," according to Main Line Health.

The regional healthcare group will partner with Axia Women’s Health to provide those needs for the women of the region.

The women’s health-focused center will serve as a distinctive destination to address women's physical, emotional and wellness needs in a seamless, coordinated manner embedded within a warm, healing environment. Some of the services provided specifically for women will include:

"The foundation of Main Line Health’s mission is to deliver safe, high-quality health care services to our community members," Jack Lynch, FACHE, president and CEO, Main Line Health, said in a statement. "With a focus on women's health, this health center will allow us to expand our breadth of services to include a wide range of holistic therapies and specialty care services to meet the needs of women and their families across our region."

The facility will stand at 94,000 square feet and cost about $32 million to establish, according to Main Line Health.

Special services for female patients that will be available at the center include mammography; menopause and midlife services; dermatology; individual and group counseling and post-partum depression care; heart and vascular care; and much more.

Also located with the new facility, Main Line Health will operate an ambulatory care center that will bring health and wellness services to men and women of the greater King of Prussia community, including primary care, cardiology and cardiac testing, endocrinology, neurology, general surgery, orthopedics, imaging, physical therapy and lab services, according to Main Line Health

Other features of the center include, a child watch area, parenting support services, nutrition services, a demo kitchen, and a medical retail space.

There is no word on an estimated opening date.
