The road is just one of more than 40 in the greater Philadelphia region that is being resurfaced this week as part of a major project.
Crews will be working on the pedestrian bridge project that will connect Villanova University to the SEPTA platform, forcing lane closures.
Several roads are closed and about 2,000 PECO customers in the township are without power as of Wednesday afternoon.
One traffic light is out and there are 13 road closures as of 3:30 p.m. Monday, the township said.
Two roads in the area will have cast iron water mains replaced. Work is expected to last through August. See details on the project here.
