Wayne Title & Trust Co.
This small, stone, castle-like structure would serve the town for nearly four decades.
Today we continue our series of highlights from the George W. Schultz photo album. Schultz documented many scenes of early Wayne and St. Davids.
Most Wayne residents are familiar with the imposing, rectangular, light-colored stone Wayne Title & Trust Co. building at the intersection of Lancaster and South Wayne Avenues. That building, completed in 1930, replaced this one, the original headquarters of Wayne Title & Trust. This small, stone, castle-like structure was built ca. 1890 and would serve the town for nearly four decades.
