2 Manayunk Establishments Closed By Philly Health Department

While the Health Department ordered the two establishments to close, the reasons aren't as nefarious as one may think.

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA — Two Manayunk establishments were ordered closed by the Philadelphia Department of Health.

But do not fear patrons, the reasons aren't as bad as one may think.

Han Dynasty, 4356 Main St., and Insomnia Cookies, 4319 Main St., were ordered to close Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

The establishments were found to be lacking someone with a Food Establishment Personnel Food Safety Certificate issued by the department, according to health department reports.

Other violations were found at both establishments, but were not grounds for closure.

Han Dynasty has since reopened after a follow-up inspection on Thursday.
