7-Eleven Robber Arrested, Second Still On The Loose: Police
One suspect was arrested after another armed robbery on Saturday, according to police.
ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA – One person believed to be involved in the recent armed robbery at the 7-Eleven in Roxborough has been arrested, according to Philadelphia Police. Police however, said the second suspect is still on the loose.
According to police, Purnell Tyrik, 26, of the 4900 block of Fairmount Avenue, was arrested just two days after the 7-Eleven incident.
Tyrik is facing robbery and related charges related to the May 4 robbery and a more recent robbery on May 6, police said.

At about 10:25 a.m. Saturday, May 6, officers responded to a robbery in progress at a T-Mobile cell phone store located at 35 East Chelten Ave., according to police
Store employees told police that two unknown black males armed with handguns entered the store wearing reflective vests and dust masks and ordered employees to the back of the store as the men filled a duffel bag with multiple iPhones and beats headphones then fled the area in an unknown direction, police said.

Officers in the area of Walnut Lane and Daniel Street saw an Silver Hyundai Sonata and investigated the vehicle, police said.
Police said the second suspect is still on the loose.
Police said the public should not approach the suspect and should call 911 immediately if he is spotted.

A 7-Eleven store in Roxborough was robbed at gunpoint last week, according to Philadelphia Police. Police said the two robbers made off with cash and cigarettes.
The robbery occurred at 1:28 a.m. at the store located at 5632 Ridge Ave., according to police.
The first suspect, a black male, entered the store and made a phone call while inside, police said.
Then another black male entered the store with a handgun and the first male then pulled out a gun and covered his face, police said.
The second suspect then jumped the counter, pointed the gun at an employee and demanded the employee open the cash register, police said.
The first suspect acted as a lookout as the second suspect forced the employee to the ground and put $200 cash and 50 packs of cigarettes in a red backpack, according to police.
The two then fled the store and were last seen towards the 400 block of Kingsley Street, police said.
Police said mo shots were fired and no injuries were reported during the incident.
The suspects are described as:
- a black male with a medium complexion, about 5-feet 11-inches to 6-feet tall and was wearing a yellow reflective safety vest over a dark hooded sweatshirt, camouflage baseball cap, dark pants, and dark sneakers;
- a black male with a slum build who was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark mask, dark pants, gray/white sneakers, black gloves, carrying a red and black backpack, and armed with handgun.
