Arrest Made In Fatal February North Philly Shooting: Police
Police said they arrested a man suspected of shooting and killing a 23-year-old woman who was driving a van with three kids and two adults.

PHILADELPHIA – Police in Philadelphia have arrested and charged a man suspected of shooting and killing a woman who was driving at the time of the shooting back in February.
Timothy B. Barnes, 33, of Philadelphia, was arrested and charged on Monday with murder and related offenses in connection with the Feb. 21 murder of 23-year-old Tyisha Timmons in North Philadelphia, police said.
Barnes also faces assault charges related to the injuries suffered by five passengers in the vehicle Timmons was driving during the incident, court records show.

Timmons was shot at about 8:37 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21 on the 5700 block of North Broad Street while driving a van with three kids and two adults as passengers.
At least five shots were fired at the vehicle, hitting Timmons multiple times, which caused the van to crash into a business on Old York Road.

Timmons was pronounced dead at the scene at 9 p.m., police said.
The passengers all suffered various injuries in the crash
Barnes was denied bail and is slated to appear for a preliminary hearing on Aug. 15, according to court documents.
