Attempted Robbery At Roxoborough 7-Eleven: Police
This incident occurred in late May. Two other Roxborough 7-Elevens were robbed at gunpoint earlier this week.
ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA – The Roxborough 7-Eleven stores have been plagued by robberies recently, as police report an attempted robbery at the 5632 Ridge Ave. in May. Earlier this week police reported to other 7-Evelens were robbed at gunpoint.
Police said at about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, a black male entered the 5632 Ridge Ave. store with his hands inside his pockets simulating he was armed with a handgun demanding an employee, a 39 year-old male, to open the cash register.
When the employee refused the suspects demands the suspect again demanded the employee to open the cash register, police said.

After the employee refused the suspect's demands a second time, the suspect left the store and was last seen on Kingsley Street heading towards Mitchell Street.
The suspect did not make off with any items or money, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25 years old with a medium build, 5 feet 8 inches tall who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and black pants.
Two other 7-Elevens in Roxborough were robbed at gunpoint on June 6.
One robbery occurred at 12:08 a.m. at 7607 Ridge Ave. and the other at 11:48 p.m. at 6101 Ridge Ave., police said.
Police said do not approach these suspects if you spot them. Instead contact 911 immediately.
