Black Bear Not Sighted In Wissahickon Over The Weekend

The black bear seen in the Wissahickon on Friday morning was not seen in the park again over the weekend, according to the Friends of the Wissahickon.

There were bear sightings in Upper Dublin Township and Tredyffrin Township, the latter of which is about 12 miles away from the park. But no sightings occurred within the park.

It's unclear if these sightings were the same bear.

The sighting Friday placed the bear in the creek near Valley Green Inn, one of the park's most populated areas. He was headed toward Devil's Pool.
