Manayunk-Roxborough Art Center presents its 8th Annual Juried Exhibition for visual artists with an opening reception on Sunday, July 10, 2016, from 2: 00 – 5: 00 pm. The public is invited to partake of light refreshments and meet the artists. Awards (First Prize $300, Second Prize $200, Third Prize $100, and Honorable Mention 2 @$50 each) will be presented at 4:30 pm by the show’s juror, Mary Elcin, a Philadelphia art educator and fiber/paper artist.
Submissions from artists 18 years of age or older will be accepted in the general categories of painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and mixed media. The online submission deadline is Monday, June 27th, 2016. All work must be original. All entries submitted must be for sale with the sale price at exhibition to include MRAC’s commission of 40% on non-member and 30% on member sales. In person submissions will be received at MRAC, 419 Green Lane (rear) Philadelphia, PA 19128 on Saturday, June 25th and Sunday, June 26th, noon to 3 pm, and Wednesday, July 6th 2016, 5 to 7 pm.
